Once a year, the whole family, mother, father, brother and myself flanked by a plethora of family friends and their families head down to Katharagama to pay homage to the great Lord Muruga who resides in the Katatharagama temple. Now, the temple was not all that held my interest. This trip was truly about the journey and not about the destination in its true sense of the word. Now my mother cherished these spoils and reveled in bringing them back home to make for us as she was quite convinced that these rural elixirs cured ailments and made skin glow. Might I add that we lot were a healthier bunch than the rest? And I think we got my mother to thank for that.

The leaves are depurative and anthelmintic, and are recommended for leprosy, skin diseases and ulcers. The flowers are used in diabetes, urethrorrhoea, nocturnal emissions and pharyngopathy.
Cassia auriculata L. Cassia densistipulata Taub. Senna auriculata is a legumeinous tree in the subfamily Caesalpinioideae. It is the State flower of Telangana. It is common along the sea coast and the dry zone in Sri Lanka.
There's a different kind of balance, but that doesn't mean that there's no balance. You won't know this until you do it and that is really important information to get before a marriage contract.
